--- PAGE 1 --- Galloway Man Arrested in Philadelphia for Atlantic City Murder and Attempted Murder MAYS LANDING, NJ – On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (F.B.I.) and Philadelphia Police Department arrested Louis Jackson, 23, from Galloway Twp., NJ, on the 5000 block of Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. He was arrested on a warrant for the murder of a 15-year-old juvenile with the initials J.S., from Atlantic City, NJ, and the attempted murder of a 17-year-old Atlantic City juvenile with the initials M.P. On November 7, 2025, at approximately 5:24 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 800 block of Arkansas Avenue in reference to a shot spotter alert of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival they located J.S. with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the AtlantiCare Medical Facility in Atlantic City where he was later pronounced deceased. Officers also located M.P. with a gunshot wound to the face. M.P. was transported to the AtlantiCare Medical Facility where he was treated and expected to survive. Jackson fled from the area after the homicide. The F.B.I. was able to track Jackson to the 5000 block of Chester Avenue in Philadelphia where he was apprehended. This case is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit. The F.B.I., Philadelphia and Atlantic City Offices, were instrumental in assisting with investigation. ***These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt.
