Three teens wounded in two shootings

Atlantic City police said three teenage males were wounded in two separate shootings over a 27-hour period. One 17-year-old was found shot Friday night on Sewell Avenue, and a 17-year-old and 18-year-old were found shot just after midnight Sunday on New York Avenue. All were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and no arrests had been made.
Atlantic City police are investigating two shootings that wounded three city teens within 27 hours. A ShotSpotter alert brought police to the 1500 block of Sewell Avenue at 9:39 p.m. Friday, according to Lt. Kevin Fair. Officers found a 17-year-old who had been wounded by gunfire. Just after midnight Sunday, another ShotSpotter alert sent police to the 600 block of New York Avenue, where a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were found with gunshot wounds, Fair said. All three males were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. No arrests had been made. Atlantic City's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
