Man wanted in Atlantic City shooting that wounded woman

Atlantic City police said Tyquan McClarin-Lamar, 25, is wanted in a Tuesday evening shooting inside a home on North Carolina Avenue that wounded a 23-year-old woman. Investigators said he got into a fight with a man inside the residence, pulled a handgun, and fired, striking the woman. The injury was not considered life-threatening, and police said three small children were present.
Atlantic City police were seeking help locating Tyquan McClarin-Lamar, 25, in connection with a shooting that wounded a woman inside a home where several children were present. According to police, the shooting happened Tuesday night in the 100 block of North North Carolina Avenue. Officers were called to the apartment at 5:24 p.m. and found a 23-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound, Lt. Kevin Fair said. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, and her injury was not considered life-threatening. Police said an investigation by Violent Crimes detectives found that McClarin-Lamar came to the home and got into a fight with a man inside. During the fight, he allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired a shot that struck the woman. Both McClarin-Lamar and the other man fled before officers arrived. Police said three small children were present during the incident. McClarin-Lamar is accused of four counts of aggravated assault. He also faces weapons charges, including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities asked anyone with information about McClarin-Lamar's whereabouts or about the shooting to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.
