Two men wounded in separate Atlantic City shootings

Atlantic City police investigated two separate weekend shootings that left a 31-year-old man and an 18-year-old man wounded. Police were alerted to gunfire on Drexel Place and Sewell Avenue through ShotSpotter, and both victims later arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Atlantic City police are investigating two separate shootings that happened over the weekend and wounded two men. According to Lt. Kevin Fair, officers were sent to the 1500 block of Drexel Place at 8:12 p.m. after a ShotSpotter alert detected gunfire. A short time later, a 31-year-old gunshot victim arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. In the other shooting, an 18-year-old arrived at the hospital at 1:19 p.m. Saturday, shortly after patrol officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1500 block of Sewell Avenue. Police said neither victim's injuries were life-threatening.
