A 27-year-old Atlantic City man was wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning. Officer Kleovoulos Zissimopoulos was responding to a ShotSpotter alert in the 800 block of Maryland Avenue just before 2 a.m. when the victim, who had suffered a gunshot wound, stopped him, according to Lt. Kevin Fair. The man was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment. Authorities did not release his name. Lt. Kevin Fair said Monday that the victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
