Atlantic City man arrested in November shooting
Police arrested 31-year-old Ibn Jones of Atlantic City in connection with a Nov. 9 shooting that seriously wounded a man near Baltic and Indiana avenues. He was charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses and was being held pending a detention hearing.
An Atlantic City man was arrested this week in connection with a November shooting that seriously wounded another man.
Ibn Jones, 31, was arrested Tuesday after Officer Aaron Jones recognized him driving a car just after noon and stopped him at Indiana Avenue and Bacharach Boulevard.
Police said Jones is charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses related to the Nov. 9 afternoon shooting at Baltic and Indiana avenues, near the Atlantic City Fire Station.
The victim, whose identity was not released, was driven by a concerned citizen to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
Jones was being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing. Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Atlantic City police.
