Atlantic City police are seeking Yasin Sanders, 18, in connection with an Oct. 23 shooting that wounded a woman in the 400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Lt. Kevin Fair. Police were alerted to the scene by a ShotSpotter notification at about 9:45 p.m. A 25-year-old Atlantic City woman suffered a graze wound. She initially refused medical attention but later was treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Fair said Sanders was one of two people who fired a gun during the shooting. An investigation led to charges against Sanders and a 15-year-old boy from Bridgeton. Sanders and a 15-year-old from Bridgeton had also been arrested the previous month after a raid at Sanders' home allegedly found both of them armed and in possession of drugs, police said. The report said it could not be immediately confirmed whether the juvenile in both cases was the same person, but Fair said the minor was served with the shooting charges at Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. Sanders and the teen were each charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and single counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy. Police asked anyone who sees Sanders or knows where he is to contact them.
