Vineland teen arrested in Atlantic City shooting
A 17-year-old from Vineland was arrested in connection with the robbery and shooting of a 41-year-old Atlantic City man. Police said the victim was grazed by a bullet after confronting two suspects while searching for belongings taken during a robbery. The teen was charged with weapons offenses, aggravated assault, conspiracy, robbery and drug possession.

Police said a 41-year-old victim called 911 at 7:50 p.m. Sunday and reported that he had been grazed by a bullet on Indiana Avenue. Earlier, at 7:19 p.m., a ShotSpotter alert had brought officers to the area of Atlantic Avenue, but they initially found no evidence of a shooting.
According to police, the victim said he had been assaulted and robbed by a group of boys in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue. While searching the area for his belongings, he saw two of the suspects. When he tried to confront them, one of the teens pulled out a gun and fired, grazing him. The man then left the area and called 911. He was treated at the scene for a minor injury.
On Wednesday, Officers Sangenys Estrella-Garcia and Timothy Bethel were patrolling on foot in the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue when they saw a teen who had been pictured in a wanted flyer distributed to officers about a half-hour earlier, according to Lt. Kevin Fair. The 17-year-old was arrested and was allegedly found with 17 grams of marijuana.
He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, conspiracy, robbery and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was taken to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
Detectives were still trying to identify additional suspects in the robbery, police said.
