Atlantic City police said they were investigating a Thursday night shooting involving a 16-year-old boy who arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with a gunshot wound. The teen told police he was shot near Ohio and McKinley avenues, but officers said they did not find evidence of gunfire there.
ATLANTIC CITY — Police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night in the city.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with a gunshot wound after officers responded there at about 9:44 p.m. for a report of a boy who had walked in injured.
The teen told police he was shot near Ohio and McKinley avenues. Police said they did not find evidence of gunfire at that location.
The investigation is being led by the Violent Crimes Unit. Anyone with information was asked to call police or submit an anonymous tip by text.
