ATLANTIC CITY — A man was being treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening after he was wounded in a shooting Sunday, according to police. Police said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 800 block of Maryland Avenue at about 8:40 p.m. On the way to the scene, Officer Eric Knuttel was stopped by the shooting victim, who was driving away. Knuttel rendered aid to the 34-year-old man before he was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus. The investigation is being led by the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit.
