Man Wanted in Home Invasion Surrenders

Atlantic City police said a man wanted in a June 11, 2020 home invasion on Madison Avenue surrendered to Philadelphia police on June 19. Investigators identified Ishaiah Brown as the suspect after police said he entered a sleeping victim’s residence, assaulted her with a handgun, fired a shot into a wall, stole items, and fled. He was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses.
Atlantic City police said that on June 19, 2020, a suspect wanted in a home invasion surrendered to police in Pennsylvania. According to police, officers responded at 7:02 a.m. on June 11, 2020, to the 400 block of Madison Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for a reported burglary in which a handgun had been discharged. When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old Atlantic City woman who had been assaulted. Police identified the suspect as Ishaiah Brown. Investigators said Brown entered the victim’s residence while she was sleeping, assaulted her with a handgun, fired one shot into a wall, stole numerous items, and fled. The victim was treated at the scene by medical personnel. Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Section said they identified and charged Brown the same day. On June 19, Brown turned himself in to the Philadelphia Police Department. Police said Brown, 33, of Philadelphia, was held for extradition back to New Jersey.
