Three men shot in two Atlantic City incidents
Police investigated two separate shootings in Atlantic City on Tuesday that left three men wounded. One 28-year-old city man walked into AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus with gunshot wounds, and later police responded to an alert on South Florida Avenue and found another shooting victim in the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue. A second man in that incident also later walked into the hospital. All three victims were expected to survive.
ATLANTIC CITY — Police investigated the shooting of three men in two separate incidents Tuesday.
At about 2:11 a.m., officers responded to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus after a gunshot victim walked into the emergency room, Sgt. Kevin Fair said in a news release. The victim, a 28-year-old Atlantic City man, was being treated for his injuries.
At about 2:19 a.m., officers responded to the first block of South Florida Avenue after an alert from the city’s gunshot-audio detection system, Fair said. Police found a shooting victim in the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue. The victim, a 20-year-old man from Oklahoma City, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A second victim, a 20-year-old man from Newark, also walked into the hospital for treatment.
All of the shooting victims were expected to survive, Fair said. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit.
