Philadelphia Man Pleads Guilty in 2024 AC Shooting that Killed One and Injured Another
MAYS LANDING, NJ – On Monday, April 13, 2026, Gregg Page, 35, of Philadelphia, PA, pleaded
guilty to first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter, first-degree Attempted Murder, and second-
degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Firearms in connection with the 2024 shooting of two
women in the area of the jetty near Maine Avenue in the inlet section of Atlantic City. The
recommended sentence is 25 years N.J.S.P. pursuant to the No Early Release Act for the
Aggravated Manslaughter, 20 years N.J.S.P. pursuant to the No Early Release Act for the
Attempted Murder, and five years N.J.S.P. with no parole for the Certain Persons count. The
State will argue that the sentences should be served consecutively, consistent with state
sentencing law, for an aggregate of 50 years in New Jersey State Prison.
On August 1, 2024, a witness alerted police to the presence of two injured females in the early
morning hours in Atlantic City, NJ. Kamille Stewart, 31, of Pleasantville, NJ, was transported to
the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ, with serious injuries from a gunshot
wound to the head that still impacts her to this day. Carley Elbert, 32, of Sewell, NJ, was
pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy concluded the cause of death was a gunshot
wound to the head and manner of death was homicide. During his guilty plea, Page admitted to
shooting both females.
The investigation led detectives to Philadelphia, PA, the same day, where the defendant was
located and found to be in possession of a handgun and additional incriminating evidence. Two
co-defendants, whom investigation revealed were not involved in the homicide, but assisted Page
in his flight, were also located, charged and later pleaded guilty to third-degree Hindering an
Investigation.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 16, 2026, before the Honorable Donna M. Taylor, J.S.C..
This investigation was led by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit with the
support of the Atlantic City Police Department and Philadelphia Police Department.
