Atlantic City man's fanny pack allegedly had gun, drugs
Police said a 24-year-old Atlantic City man fled officers Friday afternoon and was arrested after they found a loaded handgun, 77 bags of heroin, and 19½ grams of marijuana in a fanny pack around his waist.
An Atlantic City man was arrested last week after allegedly fleeing police with a fanny pack containing drugs and a loaded handgun.
Police responded Friday afternoon to Indiana and Atlantic avenues on a report of a man with a handgun and drugs, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. According to police, Nashid Seymore, 24, ran when Officer Scott Sendrick tried to stop him after seeing him walking on Indiana Avenue.
Police said Seymore discarded a backpack, which Sendrick recovered. Officers Ivaylo Ivanov and Kevin Perez continued the chase and arrested Seymore in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue.
According to police, officers found a loaded handgun, 77 bags of heroin, and 19½ grams of marijuana inside the fanny pack around Seymore’s waist. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
