Atlantic City authorities said Jordan Reaves, 21, of Pleasantville, was fatally shot just after 11 p.m. Sunday on the 300 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue in Atlantic City. He was taken to an Atlantic City hospital, where he died from his injuries. According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Reaves had been a suspect in a shooting that occurred Thursday night a few blocks away at South Carolina and Adriatic avenues. In that earlier incident, two male bystanders, ages 21 and 54, suffered wounds that were not considered life-threatening. The prosecutor’s office also said Reaves had previously been wounded by gunfire, including in a December 2017 shooting at an Atlantic City home. Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said recent homicide investigations have involved what he described as a "race against retribution by the streets." As of the article’s publication, no arrests had been announced in connection with Reaves’ killing.
