A man was wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City on Monday evening. Police were called to the 100 block of South Vermont Avenue at about 6 p.m. on a report of a man who had been shot, Capt. Andrew Leonard said. Officers found a 37-year-old Atlantic City man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the injury was not considered life-threatening. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment. Atlantic City's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
