Atlantic City man arrested in shooting of Camden County man
Police charged a 28-year-old Atlantic City man with attempted murder and weapons offenses after a Tuesday evening shooting on the 100 block of Missouri Avenue. A 30-year-old man from Sicklerville in Camden County walked into the Public Safety Building with a gunshot wound and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
ATLANTIC CITY — A city man has been charged with attempted murder and weapons possession following a shooting Tuesday evening.
Police responded to the 100 block of Missouri Avenue after receiving a gunshot alert. Witnesses told officers they saw a car speed away after the shots were fired.
Minutes later, a 30-year-old man from Sicklerville in Camden County walked into the Public Safety Building with a gunshot wound. He told police he had been shot on Missouri Avenue. The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
Police identified the suspect as Robert Timmons, 28. He was located and arrested Wednesday evening, police said.
Timmons was charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was being held at the Atlantic County jail in Mays Landing.
