Atlantic City police seek man charged in shooting of 2
Atlantic City police said they are seeking a man charged in a Sept. 8 shooting that wounded two men who were inside a vehicle near Vermont and Pacific avenues. The victims, ages 22 and 23, were hospitalized with injuries police said were not life-threatening. Police said a juvenile had already been arrested and charged, and the wanted man faces the same offenses.
ATLANTIC CITY — Police are seeking a man wanted in connection with the shooting of two men, according to a news release.
Police said the man was wanted following an investigation into a Sept. 8 incident in which officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at Vermont and Pacific avenues.
Officers found two men inside a vehicle who had been shot. Police said the victims, ages 22 and 23 and both from Atlantic City, had been driving on Pacific Avenue when they were shot and then crashed into several parked cars on the 100 block of South Vermont Avenue.
The men were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police said their injuries were not life-threatening.
Police said they identified the wanted man and an unidentified 15-year-old as suspects. The juvenile was arrested Sept. 16 and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and conspiracy. Police said the wanted man, identified only as Will, 19, of Atlantic City, was charged with the same offenses.
