Police said an Atlantic City man was arrested after allegedly trying to shoot someone on North Tennessee Avenue. Investigators recovered shell casings and charged the suspect with aggravated assault and multiple weapons offenses. The intended victim was not injured.
ATLANTIC CITY — A city man was arrested after allegedly trying to shoot someone on North Tennessee Avenue, police said Wednesday. At about 10:49 p.m. March 27, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue and found several shell casings. An investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit led to charges against Chreshfull Tucker, 27. Police said Tucker was arrested at his home in the 800 block of Kentucky Avenue. The person Tucker allegedly tried to shoot was not injured. Tucker was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to possess a weapon. He was taken to the Atlantic County jail pending a detention hearing.
