Two men arrested in AC after search at Fox Manor
Police said two men were arrested Friday at Fox Manor in Atlantic City after officers investigating complaints of drug activity found marijuana and two handguns, including one reported stolen. One man, Jamar Jones, was charged with multiple weapons and drug offenses, while Rafael Rondon was charged with marijuana possession and released on a summons.
ATLANTIC CITY — Two men were arrested Friday after police found marijuana and two handguns, one of them stolen, at Fox Manor on the 2700 block of Pacific Avenue.
Police said the arrests followed complaints of drug activity inside and outside the building. Jamar Jones, 20, of Atlantic City, and Rafael Rondon, 23, of Philadelphia, were taken into custody.
According to police, Jones had a loaded handgun and an active arrest warrant when he was arrested. A search of his room at Fox Manor allegedly turned up another handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition that had been reported stolen from Voorhees, as well as a high-capacity magazine and 8 ounces of marijuana.
Jones was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a weapon during a CDS offense, receiving stolen property, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a high-capacity magazine, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and contempt of court. He was held at the Atlantic County jail pending a detention hearing.
Rondon was arrested after police said he was found in possession of marijuana. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.
