Cops: Atlantic City Man Arrested After Assaulting and Threatening Girlfriend

Atlantic City police said a 38-year-old man, Kareem Blocker, was arrested after allegedly assaulting and threatening his girlfriend with a handgun. Officers said the incident began on Atlantic Avenue and Blocker was later found in a room at Bally's and arrested without incident.
An Atlantic City man is facing multiple charges after police said he assaulted and threatened his girlfriend with a handgun. According to police, the incident happened Wednesday morning in the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue. Officers said the victim’s boyfriend, 38-year-old Kareem Blocker of Atlantic City, assaulted and threatened her before fleeing the scene prior to their arrival. Police later located Blocker in a hotel room at Bally's, where he was arrested without incident. Blocker was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, and contempt of court. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility in Mays Landing.
