Atlantic City man dies after Thursday night shooting
An Atlantic City man, Jasper Bell, died after being shot Thursday night at Anchorage Court in Atlantic City, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner. Bell was being taken to the hospital when he died, and an autopsy ruled the death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the chest.
ATLANTIC CITY — A city man was fatally shot Thursday in Atlantic City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
Police responded at 9:37 p.m. Thursday to Anchorage Court for a report of a man who had been shot, Tyner said in a press release.
Jasper Bell, 32, a resident of Anchorage Court, was being transported to the hospital when he died, Tyner said.
An autopsy determined Bell died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call the prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit or the Atlantic City Police Department’s Investigations Division.
