ATLANTIC CITY — A city man was fatally shot Thursday in Atlantic City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced. Police responded at 9:37 p.m. Thursday to Anchorage Court for a report of a man who had been shot, Tyner said in a press release. Jasper Bell, 32, a resident of Anchorage Court, was being transported to the hospital when he died, Tyner said. An autopsy determined Bell died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide. Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call the prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit or the Atlantic City Police Department’s Investigations Division.
