Man shot in the hand in Atlantic City
A man from Atlantic City was hospitalized Sunday after being shot in the hand on the 100 block of South Ocean Avenue, according to police. He was treated and released, and the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit was investigating.
ATLANTIC CITY — A city man was hospitalized Sunday after he was shot in the hand, authorities said.
Officers responded at about 12:30 a.m. to the beach block of South Ocean Avenue, where they found the victim, identified as 26-year-old Alexander Dotchway. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was treated and released, according to police.
The Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating. Police asked anyone with information to call 609-347-5766 or to text tip411, beginning the message with ACPD.
