The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Atlantic City Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Atlantic City on Thursday, February 29. According to authorities, officers responded around 5:58 p.m. after a 9-1-1 call reported a shooting on the South block of Florida Avenue. When they arrived at 26 South Florida Avenue, they found H.C., a 37-year-old Atlantic City resident, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said the investigation into the cause and manner of death remains ongoing. The case is being handled by the Major Crimes Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Violent Crimes Unit of the Atlantic City Police Department. Authorities asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact investigators or submit an anonymous tip through the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
