ATLANTIC CITY — A 20-year-old Somerdale man was fatally shot in Atlantic City on Tuesday night, according to authorities. Atlantic City police and other emergency workers responded to a 911 call at 9:19 p.m. in the area of South Carolina and Baltic avenues. Police said Kevin Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene, and his next of kin were notified. Authorities said an autopsy was pending. Detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit also responded. They, along with the Atlantic City Police Department, continued to investigate the shooting.
