Atlantic City teen found shot Wednesday morning
Police found a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Caspian Avenue in Atlantic City early Wednesday morning. The injury was described as non-life-threatening, and he was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus. The investigation was being handled by the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit.
ATLANTIC CITY — Police found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound on Caspian Avenue early Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Caspian Avenue at about 2 a.m. after the city’s ShotSpotter gunshot-detection system alerted them to possible gunfire.
The victim, whom police did not identify, had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus.
The investigation was being led by the Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
