Two arrested, a third sought in Atlantic City shooting investigation
Atlantic City police said they arrested two people and sought a third man in connection with a Jan. 26, 2016 shooting that wounded Andrey Green. During a search of a home on North Carolina Avenue, officers said they found a .25-caliber pistol, marijuana and related paraphernalia. Tanisha Bailey, 29, was charged with multiple weapons and drug offenses, and a 24-year-old man turned himself in in connection with the shooting. Police were also seeking Messiah Henry, 20.
Atlantic City police made two arrests and issued a warrant for another man Tuesday as part of an investigation into a Jan. 26, 2016 shooting that wounded Andrey Green.
Police said the Violent Crimes Unit, with help from the city’s SWAT team, executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of North Carolina Avenue. Inside, officers said they found a .25-caliber pistol, marijuana and related paraphernalia.
Tanisha Bailey, 29, of Atlantic City, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession within a school zone, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of a weapon during a drug offense. She was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $50,000 cash bail.
Also Tuesday, a 24-year-old man turned himself in at the Public Safety Building in connection with the Jan. 26 shooting of Andrey Green, according to the report. Green, a city resident, was found wounded in the 1000 block of Arctic Avenue.
Police also issued a warrant for Messiah Henry, 20, in the shooting. Detective Joseph Iacovone was leading the investigation with assistance from Detectives Joseph Procopio and Charles Stuart.
