Male grazed in Atlantic City shooting

Atlantic City police investigated a Tuesday night shooting in which a man was grazed by gunfire inside a residence. Police said the city’s ShotSpotter system alerted officers to shots in the 1800 block of Brigantine Boulevard around 11 p.m. The victim, Donte Denwick, was treated at the scene for what appeared to be a graze wound to his forehead.
Atlantic City police are investigating a shooting that grazed a man Tuesday night. The city’s ShotSpotter audio gunshot detection system alerted police to shots fired in the 1800 block of Brigantine Boulevard at about 11 p.m. Inside a residence struck by gunfire, police found Donte Denwick, 21, with what appeared to be a graze wound to his forehead, according to Sgt. Chris Barber of the city’s Violent Crimes Unit. Denwick was treated at the scene. Police said it was the first nonfatal shooting in Atlantic City that year. Detectives Joe Iacovone and Joseph Procopio were investigating. Anyone with information was asked to contact detectives or Crime Stoppers. Information could also be texted anonymously to TIP411 beginning the message with ACPD.
