Atlantic City police were investigating a second shooting that wounded a teenager in a little more than a day. Police responding to a ShotSpotter alert at about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday stopped a car leaving the scene in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue and found the wounded teen inside, Sgt. Chris Barber said. The 15-year-old Atlantic City resident had been shot in the leg. Because of his age, police did not release his name. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was treated and released. Detectives were investigating the shooting. The article says this was the second time a teenager had recently been wounded by gunfire in Atlantic City. Late Monday night, a 16-year-old was grazed by a bullet in Stanley Holmes Village. Anyone with information was asked to call Atlantic City police or Crime Stoppers. Information could also be texted anonymously.
