A 20-year-old man from Pleasantville is recovering after being shot in Atlantic City over the weekend. According to the Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, the shooting happened at about 4:40 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of New York Avenue. Officers responded after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and found evidence of gunfire at the scene. A short time later, the victim arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Atlantic City Police Department.
