Atlantic City police were investigating the overnight shooting of a man from New York. According to Sgt. Chris Barber of the city’s Violent Crimes Unit, the shooting happened around midnight in the 1000 block of Brigantine Boulevard. The man, identified only as a New York resident, was shot in the lower abdomen. Detective Charles Stuart was leading the investigation. No further information was immediately available.
