A 16-year-old boy from Atlantic City suffered a graze wound to the head in a late Monday night shooting in Atlantic City. Police responded after a ShotSpotter alert and several 911 calls, found shell casings near Mediterranean Avenue and Rosemont Place, and said the teen was treated and released. No suspect information was available at the time.
A 16-year-old Atlantic City boy was injured in a shooting late Monday night. Police responded just after 11 p.m. after a ShotSpotter alert and several 911 calls from inside Stanley Holmes Village, according to the report. Officers found several shell casings in the area of Mediterranean Avenue and Rosemont Place. The teen was struck while standing in the 300 block of Rosemont Place and suffered a graze wound to the head. An ambulance took him to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was treated and released. Police did not release his name because of his age. The investigation was ongoing, and no suspect information was available at the time. Violent Crimes Unit Detective Joe Iacovone was leading the investigation.
