Three men wounded in two shootings in Atlantic City
Three Atlantic City men were wounded in two separate shootings overnight in Atlantic City. Two men, Shawn Smith and Luis Guzman, were shot in the 200 block of North Carolina Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and were reported in stable condition. About six hours earlier, Marvin Napper was shot in the head while sitting inside a truck outside his home and was also reported in stable condition.

According to Sgt. Chris Barber of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, two men were found shot in the 200 block of North Carolina Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Shawn Smith, whose age was not available, and Luis Guzman, 25, were wounded after multiple shots were fired. Both men were reported to be in stable condition.
The second shooting had happened about six hours earlier. Marvin Napper was shot in the head while sitting inside a truck outside his home. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, where he was still being treated late Tuesday afternoon. He was reported to be in stable condition.
Police asked anyone with information about the shootings to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers.
