Atlantic City police investigating weekend shootings, stabbing
Atlantic City police said two teenage boys were shot and a man was stabbed in separate incidents over the weekend. Authorities said the victims' injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and all three cases remained under investigation.
Atlantic City police were investigating two shootings and a stabbing that occurred in separate incidents over the weekend.
A 15-year-old girl was shot after 1 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of New York Avenue. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
About 12 hours later, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the 1000 block of Caspian Avenue. He also was expected to survive.
No further information was immediately released about those cases. The article said they were the city’s eighth and ninth shootings of the year, fewer than half the number recorded by the same time the previous year.
On Saturday, a man was also stabbed in the chest in the 1000 block of Wabash Avenue. His name was not released.
All of the incidents were under investigation by Atlantic City police. Anyone with information was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
