Two Atlantic City residents were arrested after police stopped a car near Kentucky and Adriatic avenues just after midnight Wednesday and found a loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun that had been reported stolen from North Carolina. Both were charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and receiving stolen property.
Two Atlantic City residents were arrested and a stolen gun was recovered during a motor vehicle stop Wednesday.
Officer Leah Vickery stopped the car at Kentucky and Adriatic avenues just after midnight, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. Police found a loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun that had been reported stolen from North Carolina, according to the report.
Khadijah Williams, 20, and Emmanuel Williams, 21, were each charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and receiving stolen property. Both were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Emmanuel Williams' bail was set at $70,000. Khadijah Williams' bail was set at $40,000.
