An Atlantic City man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly shooting a resident during an armed robbery, police said. The victim was shot in the left leg in the first block of South Florida Avenue just after midnight Friday, according to police. Abu Rasheed, 21, was arrested Saturday and charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose following an investigation by Detective Steve Rando. Police said the victim in Friday’s shooting was found in the same area where Darrell Moore, 26, had been found wounded less than 10 hours earlier. Lt. Robert Campbell of the Violent Crimes Unit said the shootings were not related. The article also said Jamal Bradford, 22, was wanted in that other shooting, and that police were continuing to look for Najee Marshall, 23, who was wanted in another shooting that wounded a man identified as Harmon, 25, on Aug. 13. According to the article, Marshall had been paroled in January after serving less than two years for manslaughter in the Dec. 4, 2011, killing of Robert Bell, 17. Bradford and Marshall were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and weapons offenses in their respective cases. Anyone with information was asked to contact Atlantic City police or Crime Stoppers.
