An Atlantic City High School student was wounded in a shooting Saturday night in Atlantic City. According to police, the shooting happened in the area of the 100 block of Adriatic Avenue. Sgt. Robert Campbell said the 18-year-old victim was shot once in the left knee. The teen was found at the corner of North Carolina and Adriatic avenues and was taken to the hospital. Police at the scene followed a blood trail to locate the crime scene. No shell casings were found, and there was no additional information released about the shooting. Campbell said the ShotSpotter gunshot-audio detection system did not generate a notification in the area. The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating. Anyone with information was asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
