A suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Atlantic City has been arrested, according to the Atlantic City Police Department. Two days later, a 42-year-old man from Hillside went to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Detectives later identified 52-year-old John Coles of Atlantic City as the suspect. Police said Officers Henderson Cedano and Christopher Campbell located Coles in the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue and arrested him without incident. Coles was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain person not to possess a weapon. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Police said anyone with information about the incident should contact the Atlantic City Police Department.
