Two wounded by gunfire in Atlantic City

Two men were wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City on Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to reports of shots fired near Indiana Avenue and found evidence of gunfire in several nearby areas before learning that two victims had gone to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two men were shot in Atlantic City on Wednesday. Police responded to the 400 block of Indiana Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. after receiving several reports of shots fired. Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said officers found evidence of gunfire in the areas of Hummock and Hobart avenues and in the 500 block of Trinity Avenue. No victims were found at the scene at that time. Moments later, however, officers were called to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus for two gunshot victims. The victims were identified only as a 42-year-old man from Somers Point and a 35-year-old Atlantic City man. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. Police asked anyone with information to contact Atlantic City police.
