Fugitive arrested in fatal Atlantic City shooting
Atlantic City police and federal marshals arrested Kenneth Creek, 48, who had been wanted in the Aug. 25, 2022 fatal shooting of Jordan Eaddy in Atlantic City. Creek and co-defendant Aaron Callahan had previously been indicted on murder, conspiracy, and weapons charges. Authorities have not disclosed where Creek was arrested.
An Atlantic City man wanted in a fatal shooting from last year was arrested Wednesday morning.
Kenneth Creek, 48, was charged within days of the Aug. 25, 2022, killing of Jordan Eaddy. Eaddy, 31, of Philadelphia, was found fatally shot just after midnight in the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue in Atlantic City after officers responded to a ShotSpotter gunshot-detection alert.
Creek and Aaron Callahan were indicted Nov. 29 on charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and weapons offenses. Court records show Creek had also been wanted after failing to appear in a separate terrorist threats case from last year.
Information released during Callahan’s detention hearing indicated Creek was the shooter. Callahan claimed he did not know that the gun he allegedly handed to Creek would be used to kill someone. Defense attorney Christina Naughton said her client was friends with the victim and was remorseful.
Authorities did not disclose where Creek was arrested. The arrest was a joint effort by the U.S. Marshals Service, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, and Atlantic City police. Callahan remains jailed.
The article also notes that Eaddy had been arrested in Absecon less than a week before he was killed after police found him driving a vehicle reported stolen from Trenton. A Somers Point man was with him at the time.
