Police: 13-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With Atlantic City Double Shooting

Police said the teen barricaded inside a nearby building for about an hour before surrendering, and a gun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered.
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- A 13-year-old was taken into custody after a double shooting in Atlantic City on Tuesday.
Police said the shooting happened just before 1 p.m. on the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue. Officers responded to the scene but did not find the victims there. According to police, two men, ages 30 and 34, later reported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the suspected shooter entered a nearby three-story building. After about a one-hour barricade, the teen surrendered without incident.
Authorities said it is still unclear what led to the shooting. A gun believed to have been used in the shooting was found in the apartment the teen ran into, according to police.
The teen was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and related charges, and was being held at Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
