A 15-year-old was arrested after allegedly shooting another teen Sunday in Atlantic City. Police responded to the 600 block of Raleigh Avenue at 6:48 p.m. for a report of a shooting, according to Sgt. Paul Aristizabal. Officer Joseph Kelly Jr. developed information about the suspect, who was also 15, and broadcast it to other responding officers. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. At 7:13 p.m., Officers LaQuay Green and Wahab Malik stopped a teen matching the suspect's description near Ohio Avenue and Bacharach Boulevard. Police said he was carrying a loaded handgun and was arrested. Detectives later positively identified the teen as the shooter, police said. Because he is a juvenile, his name was not released. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and aggravated assault, and was taken to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
