Man wanted in Atlantic City shooting
Atlantic City police are seeking Fausto Mora, 29, in connection with a nonfatal shooting Tuesday on the first block of South Florida Avenue. A 34-year-old man was found wounded after a ShotSpotter alert and taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center; police said the shooting stemmed from an earlier dispute between Mora and the victim.
Atlantic City police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a shooting.
Police said Fausto Mora, 29, is wanted in a shooting that happened Tuesday on the first block of South Florida Avenue. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter gunfire alert at 7:32 p.m. and found a 34-year-old male victim.
Officers provided medical aid before the victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, and his name was not released.
According to Lt. Kevin Fair, investigators determined that Mora and the victim knew each other and that the shooting stemmed from an earlier dispute. The investigation was conducted by the Violent Crimes Unit.
Police noted that this was the second shooting on that street in less than two weeks. A 33-year-old man was wounded there in another shooting on Dec. 9, and no arrests had been reported in that case.
Anyone with information about Mora’s whereabouts was asked to call police at 609-347-5766 or send an anonymous text to tip411 at 847411 beginning the message with ACPD.
