A 33-year-old Atlantic City man was wounded in a shooting Thursday night on the first block of South Florida Avenue in Atlantic City. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.

Police were called to the first block of South Florida Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. and found a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Lt. Kevin Fair.
The victim, who was not publicly identified, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment. Police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5766 or to send an anonymous tip by text to tip411 (847411), beginning the message with ACPD.
