Atlantic City Man Arrested in Connection with November 2024 Homicide
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m., members of the
United States Marshals Service and the Atlantic City Police Department arrested N.D., 18, at his
residence on Sovereign Avenue in Atlantic City, NJ. N.D. was arrested for the November 16,
2024, murder of Jaiden Perez, 19, of Atlantic City, NJ. N.D. was charged with murder, conspiracy,
weapons offenses, and theft-related offenses. N.D. was 17 years old at the time of the homicide
and was charged as a juvenile.
On November 16, 2024, the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 1500 block of
Atlantic Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, responding officers located two male
victims sustaining gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation revealed a group of individuals were
standing on Atlantic Avenue around the Boost Mobile store when multiple rounds were fired in
their direction. Both victims were transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center.
On December 14, 2024, one of the victims, Perez, succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary autopsy
findings revealed Perez’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to his upper torso. The second
victim was treated and released from the hospital shortly after the shooting incident.
N.D. was processed at the Atlantic City Police Department and is being detained at Harbor Fields
Atlantic Youth Center in Egg Harbor City, NJ.
