Atlantic City police investigated two separate shootings less than 17 hours apart that left two men wounded. A 46-year-old man was shot Sunday night on Pacific Avenue, and a 27-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon on Virginia Avenue. Police said neither injury was considered life-threatening.
Atlantic City police are investigating two separate shootings that wounded two men less than 17 hours apart. Neither shooting was considered life-threatening, Lt. Kevin Fair said. Police were called to the 200 block of Pacific Avenue at 9:46 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man shot. Officers found a 46-year-old man wounded. A second shooting was reported at 2:21 p.m. Monday, when a ShotSpotter alert brought police to the 800 block of Virginia Avenue. A witness told BreakingAC that multiple shots were heard and that it sounded like a shootout. The 27-year-old victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he underwent surgery, according to a relative. Atlantic City police did not release the names of the victims. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5766.
