Teen girl wounded in Atlantic City shooting
A 16-year-old girl from Atlantic City was wounded in a shooting early Monday morning. Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 1000 block of Brigantine Boulevard, found evidence of gunfire but no victim, and later learned the girl had arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
A teen girl was wounded in a shooting early Monday morning in Atlantic City.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Brigantine Boulevard at 1:35 a.m. after a ShotSpotter alert, Lt. Kevin Fair said. Officers found evidence of gunfire at the scene, but no victim.
A short time later, a 16-year-old girl from Atlantic City arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus suffering from a gunshot wound. Her injury was not considered life-threatening.
The girl's name was not released because of her age.
